How do you lower the idle speed on a renault 1.2d7f 8valve petrol engine 2004

idle speed is controlled by the computer using sensors to detect correct operating conditions ? what is the actual problem ? low/high idle could mean a faulty sesnor .. check the car for fault codes on computer
