HI, 182 SPORT. WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND I TURN THE STEERING EITHER WAY, THE STEERING WHEEL SHUDDERS A BIT AND THERE IS A VERY LOUD CLUNKING KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE BAY. ONLY WHEN STATIONARY, IF SLIGHTLY MOVING IT WONT

2004 Renault Clio • 93,000 miles

There are no other noises or problems as soon as the car is moving, no high or low speed turning noises. The handling and steering is spot on. On gravel the problen is not as bad as on tar roads ie when there is less steering effort. If the car is even slightly rolling, no judder in the steering and no noise, only when at a standstill ie parking. It happens turning both ways and is very loud, sounds like something is breaking. No whining or any other noises. Standard suspension, not a clio cup. Looked on clio forums, found a similar problem cured by replacing the high pressure pas pipe.
