Why when I crank my car up, it makes a loud roaring noise then cuts off. The message board also reads reduce engine power.

The car is going into limp mode the reduced performance message is to let you no this. Probably a issue with the throttle circuit somewhere the first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned for codes you can get the done at your local auto parts store. If you cant drive there to do that you will have to rent or buy a scanner to get the codes. If your going to try to trouble shoot your car yourself. Also I recomend if your going to buy a scanner to get one that can read live data makes trouble shooting codes a lot easier. Also you will need a multimeter to do some testing. If you have a laptop they have scanners that go on your computer that read live data reasonably. Let me know the exact code numbers no the code descriptions.
