After replacement of thermostat

After replacing thermostat vehicle dosnt warm up at all in cab dash says coolant is fine no over heating but before I replaced it would warmup when driving but sitting still it did nothing just got colder. Is there a certain way she sits inside the housing and if it still persists what's my next move

Did you bleed the cooling system after replacement of the thermostat?

Remove the radiator cap.
Top up coolant.
Turn heater to maximum.
Start engine and allow to idle for 5 minutes.
Top up coolant if necessary.
Close radiator cap.
Run engine for another 5 minutes.
Allow to ool.
Check coolant level.
Top up if neccessary.
