Hi there/ I own a mitsubishi pinin 2.0GDI 2004 its got full service history done 70,000mls. Ive read so much bad news about these engines it scares me. Less!. Are these engines capable of high mileages wud mine make 200,000 without stripdowns or need for expensive parts.I run mine on premium fuel 97 octane also covers around 800mls a mth 80% which is motorways 60 70 speeds. Mine recently kicked the management light on once checked it turned out to be misfire on No 1 cylinder which seems to be inherant prob ive read so much about. These motors dont seem bullet proof like mitsubishi used to be or is it just internet banter. Hoping to keep mine a while as I love the car but would like any info or tips keeping it moving. Your views would be appreciated esp motors life span. Many thanks gary

I read your question twice. But I didn't see a question in it.

If you are asking for an opinion about Mitsubishi cars, then I have one. And you will not like it.

I often see 300,000 miles out of Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Subaru and Hyundai.
Sadly Mazda and Mitsubishi only go about 150,000 before needing major repairs
