2004 Mercury Sable Repair Question

'04 Sable missing
I have an '04 Sable, it skips and misses going down the road. Check engine light has come on but when I got off work to go have it read th light went off on the way to Autozone. Any idea, also the digital readout only says all the doors are open and not the mileage?

Have the computer scanned for code/s and comeback if any present
Could be caused by one of the following below
Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.
Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing.

Had it scanned twice won't read, told me to.come back when.check engine was on.
