AC Problem

I have a 2004 Mercury Marauder and the ac is ice cold at idle and city driving but becomes warm while driving on the highway and returns to cold when i get off. The system is r134a and fully charged with no apparent leaks. Could the be a blend door problem?

Could be freezing due to air and moisture turning into ice and blocking off the orifice tube-

Not sure that makes sense. If the unit were freezing it would take time to thaw out before returning cold air. The ac returns from warm to ice cold in literally seconds after slow down.

Freezing of orfice would take seconds to thaw. After hyway drive oull off open hood look at small line going into EVAP before spring lock if iced over then freezing. also is HVAC automatic or manual?
