2004 Mazda 6 Repair Question

Mazda 6 Engine Problem
My Mazda randomly died while driving a few hours later started back up took it home I went to leave and it cut out two or three times,acting like it was starving for gas and when it stopped the check engine came on

Can you scan for the fault codes that the check light has indicated? that will be a big help.
