2004 Kia Sorento Repair Question

Differential

I have sorento 2004.

Differentail was ok but I change differental oil for GL-5 normial.

after use my car for 2 week I had noise in differential.

my question is what I do .

put new oil or what.

GL5 normal for rear differential is not correct if the differential is with LSD (Limited Slip Differential). If your vehicle is with LSD, you need to get the correct oil. Prolonged use will damage the LSD clutches.

Hi

Now in the car LSD 80W-90 MADE IN UAE.
But differential noise still there.

What type of noise are you getting?
Using incorrect oil can cause noises and it might require some running to reduce the noise.

Try driving around in circles of 8s for a while to see if the noise reduces.

Refer to diagram, those are the manufacturers specification.

You need to be specific about noises, how does it sound etc. You cannot tell the doctor that you are sick without telling him what is wrong and expect him to prescribe medication for you.
