Enter youWhen my bank of 6 volt RV batteries drop too low in charge I used jumper cables to jump from my 12v car battery, although it works the cables seem to get very warm. Am I doing something wrong or unsafe?R question.

You will need to get a voltage reducer or a solar 6V battery trickle charger, using the 12V system is pumping to many amps into the batteries, you can over cook the 6V cells and damage them.
