Hi,

I own a santro executive 2004 model. I have Cng installed and the car works fine, the problem is that when I switch to petrol, the car coughs, misses and the power is limited even when I push the accelerator on full. When the car is on neutral its fine then. Is that a fuel injector or fuel pump issue?

Thanks

It could be either and you should start with a fuel pressure test to determine if the fuel pressure is correct.

Hi, I found out that we both are in a same type of fix, what I have been told by an expert that over a period when car doesn't run on gasoline the injectors are clogged or become rusted so best bet would be to have them checked and whichever needed to be replaced, replace it and it should be fine. If it was a problem with the fuel pump it would effect its overall performance and make it sluggish but as you said at times it coughs which is definitely a fuel injector situation.
