Honda Element Backing plate Problem
CANNOT SEE MILEAGE. THIS HAS DISAPPEARED BEFORE AND WOULD COME BACK ON BUT THIS TIME IT HAS BEEN OUT SINCE CHRISTMAS.ALSO HAVE GRINDING NOISE WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS.

Check the bulb, most probably it has given way. The meter cluster has to be removed.
As to grinding niose, you need to check what is brushing, most probably the backing plate and rotor. Use a screw driver to push the backing plate away from rotor if they are very near each other.
