How do I lift a stuck valve cover in order to replace the gasket?
All ten bolts around valve cover have been removed, but the valve cover is hard stuck. How do I pry it up without damaging something? Old gasket is leaking oil, and I need to replace it. Thanks.

Use a small screwdriver or prybar. Don't exert excess pressure in any single location. Work around the perimeter of the valve cover.
