Start up ticking noise

Normally it will tick when first started on these espcially after changing the phaser kit. But make sure the oil passages are clean. There is one in the cam cap that needs to be cleaned as well as right oil and Ford recommends their filter for noise issues also

Basically involves pulling the valve covers and the front cover off the motor if you don't have the special Ford tool to hold the timing chain in place while you remove and install a new cam gear using a special bolt that has to be tightened a specific way. Not some I recommend to people unless pro techs or very advanced DIYers
