Ford Explorer Battery Problem

Replaced battery four days ago as it needed to be replaced. Now it wont start. Makes what sounds like a "click" sound. Lights, radio, security system work. What can it be?

Was the old battery actually bad or just discharged? Two things that can both be related are a less-than-perfect connection at the battery cables, and the generator may be not recharging the battery while you drive. Start by charging the battery at a low rate for an hour. If the engine starts, measure the battery voltage while the engine is running. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is low, we will have to do a generator test.
