Cranked truck up to warm up, temperature at the time was 27 degrees. After temperature hand raised to a warm temperature, I went to put gas in vehicle, after pumping the gas, I started the truck up, it stayed on for a few seconds and then shut off, no jerking, warning light or anything. Checked battery and cables as this is a newly purchased battery. Could this possibly be a fuel line problem?

It could be a fuel problem. Do the lights work? Does the starter engage and turn the engine over? If all this works correctly, you need to check fuel pump pressure and check for spark to the plugs.

Let me know.

Hi jacobandnickolas,
The lights are working, and it is turning over, I haven't checked for sparks from the plugs, but my concern was that usually when I start it up, I can hear the whine of the fuel being sent through, now I hear no sound and it just turns over and nothing else. I will check the plugs and will let you know.

Thanks,

Chances are you're correct and it's a fuel pump issue. If you want to make it really easy, see if the car will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then it is a fuel related problem.

Let me know what you find.
