P0303 EVERYTIME! REPLACED EVERYHING! HELP!

I got this car used in Feb 12 and the check engline light REPEATEDLY comes on since having it for 2 days. I've replaced the following...Muffler, spark plugs, spark plug wires, valve cover gasket, coil pack, all 4 fuel injectors, air intake mainifold, thermostat, radiator cap, and i STILL get a misfire for cylinder #3. I've replaced everything my mechanic said to. I don't get it. It idles EXTREMELY rough, the engine "putts", and it runs very loudly as other neons the same as mine DONT. Also, after running it, it always smells like something is burning under the hood. It clearly was NOT maintained and the trani slips sometimes too. Any ideas about anything goin on with my car would be great!
