Dodge Durango Sensor Problem

My 2004 dodge durango is showing a p0700 code, it was running fine with the check engine light on other than speedometer acting funny, a friend told me that it sounded like a speed sensor,i took the output on off and found that it had a wire off, went ahead and replaced the input to, went through procedure to reset codes, now it wont come out of limp mode, it was running fine before changing the sensors, i dont understand why it wont come out of limp mode, it wasnt in limp mode before changing sensors, its running worse now than before i replaced sensors , any advice where to look
