Dodge Dakota Noise Problem

Hey, i replaced my front drive shaft and it seemed to work fine but then a week later i put my truck in 4Hi and it started making a loud horrible clunking noise from the front end. i checked everything under the truck and everything looks good. my truck still engages in 4x4 and works. I got my truck up onto jack stands and rotated the tires, checked ball joints and cvs and nothing made that same noise so i think it might be internal. i got a friend to get underneath and listen for the buzz when i switched it to and from 4HI and that seems to be working as well :( any ideas?

could be the transfer case or the front differential.get a shop to at least tell you where the noise is coming from
