2004 Chrysler Sebring Speedometer

Had speed sensor replaced which fixed transmission so it would change gears and engine light is now off. The speedometer still jumps and the trans would change gears setting at a red light when the A/C is running. Have no problems when A/C is not running. Battery dead a week ago but reads good now.

Check battery for condition including load test and make sure connection is good at speed senor. Low battieries cause all sorts of problem.S include a load test when checked.

We did all of that and everything is good but we still have the problem

The only thing I can think of is maybe replace the belt and tensioner as it may not be giving enough power due to age they are recommended replacement at 60k for both. Or its' a ground problem at lh headlight or lh strut tower. It cold be a pci bus or can bus problem as well though but a pro would need to check that.

It's intermittent so it would still need to be checked like my previous reply. Or let it go until it does it all the time.

Did more research and find that the alternator was slowly going bad. Just had it replaced and car is working fine now.
