2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser wont start

Was driving give it gas it bogs down I let off the gas it idled ok gave it gas it bogd down and died I got to the house to check the fuses the fuel pump the battery the relays everything is good on it everytime you go to crank it over it will crank for about 1 min but it blows the fuel pump fuse everytime? If you continually blow the fuel pump fuse then the pump is going bad or you've got a wiring problem like a poor connection at the fuel pump plug or a wire rubbing on the frame/body

I put a new fuel pump on and it still continuing to do the same thing

Ok. Did you check the plug for overheating when you did it? Also did you replace the fuel filter? A plugged fuel filter can overstress a fuel pump

How do you check the plug for overheating also when I put the new fuel pump on the fuel filter is Bilt on the fuel pump so yes there is a new fuel filter

The plug will look distorted and/or dark and may even smell burnt. Also check the fuel pump relay and plug the same way
