Is it possible that the computer is causing an ignition coil to get burned?

(Please, forgive my poor English.)

It's possible but unlikely. Have you checked to make sure the grounds and all connections are good, clean, and free of corrosion?

Let me know what you find. I mentioned it because if there is a poor connection, it can cause arcing, which in turn creates heat.
