2004 Cadillac SRX. Won't start. Was driving down highway when the car start sputtering. When I pulled over the car engine died and will not start again. The engine is trying to turn over but does not complete. What could possibly be wrong?

Lots maybe fuel pump or various ignition components. Need to determine is there spark and is there fuel

Yes, there is fuel. Basically, it cranks but won't start.
