Hello,

An engine can have low power output due to a number of reasons. It could be for having a clogged air filter, weak fuel pump, worn mass air flow sensor. One of the most common reasons for low power is a dirty throttle actuator.
Over time dirt and derbies will build up inside the throttle actuator and that will make the sensor send incorrect data to the ECM. Which can trigger a low power mode.

Many times cleaning out the throttle body can improve the drivability and restore the power.

Since the engine light is illuminated, it will be a good idea to scan the vehicle and retrieve the code(s). Knowing the codes can help with the diagnostics.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
