The back end of my X5 sags, I know this is due to the air suspension, but what I do not know is how to test at what level the system has failed. When I lifted the back end and took a look at the air bags, they seemed to be inflated without any punctures. When I took the compressor out and then took out the fuse (7.5) to it from the fuze box and put it back in, the compressor hisses then nothing.

Any thoughts?

If there is leak, and it seems as if there is, spray soapy water on the air bags and fittings.
If the compressor isn't functional, the relay can be replaced as it is the only serviceable item in that system.
