I had a diagostic test done when the emission icoon lit up on the dashboard Got readings P0700 and P0958. Could spilling water on the gear stick cause this andd is this serious? Car drives great. This is an automatic with 6 speed changer. Would this still be covered under dealers warranty. Mileage over 112,000 miles.

DTC P0700: A/T Control System Malfunction
NOTE:This DTC is stored when there is a problem in the A/T control system. Check for A/T DTCs with the HDS, and go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

DTC P0958: Open in Transmission Gear Selection Switch Circuit, or Transmission Gear Selection Switch Stuck OFF
