I took my car to the mechanic because of the check engine light and they told me it was on because i had a bad cam positioning sensor. he told me it would be about $750 for the part and labor, so i went online to see how much the sensor cost and i found one for about $110 dollars and ordered it. I took the old one off and put the new one on no problem but the car has trouble starting now but when its running runs fine, no skips or doesn't jump or anything, it started up every time fine with the old one on there, is there something i forgot to do or something i could do to fix it without taking it to a mechanic?
