Volkswagen Jetta Door Problem

Recently, when the car is running and I open the driver's door, the "warning buzzer" alerting me that a door is open doesn't buzz, also I noticed that the dome light no longer comes on when I get out my driver's door. Now today, the "chime" didn't come on when I shut off the car and accidentally left the headlights on. Could it be all the same problem?
Thank you.

Hi Karen,

Yes, all related... the Door Lock Control Module is defective and needs to be replaced.

To gain access to it, you need to remove the door panel and then the window regulator panel / assembly.

Part in question:

They "can" be repaired, as it is usually defective solder joints on the circuit board that cause these problems... it is a quicker and
more guaranteed repair when the item is replaced.
