2003 Toyota Tercel Car stalls in drive

I have a 93 toyota tercel with a 3 speed automatic transmission. I lost control of the car going around a turn and it fishtailed and slide sideways for about 30 feet, I didn't hit anything and the only damage seemed to be a flat front tire. However, now the car has no power when in drive and just stalls out if you give it gas or press the break. However, if you put it in drive and don't give it gas or press the break it will move forward by itself, it also runs fine while idling and while in reverse. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Check the air snorkle underhood. It (or a hose whic attaches to it) may have come loose. Check for any disconnected vacuum hoses.

Was this a curve to the right or to the left?

Check the left axle to be sure it wasn't pulled out of its socket in the transmission. This could cause a lack of power. However it would cause a noise as well.

Other than that, did you check the hoses and air snorkle (fro vacuum leaks)? If so, how were they?

Actually I found out what was causing the problem, while looking at the hoses, I found a loose wire coming out of the distributor, I move it around a little bit and the car worked fine! Thanks allot for your help.
