Toyota Corolla Starting Problem

My car recently went to the Mechanic to replace a leaking seal between the gear box and the engine, as well as replace the rings in the engine. Now when I turn the key in the ignition, the engine cranks up but does not start. It will only start about after 5 tries. Sometimes the problem doesn't show up at all. The computer diagnostics shows everything is okay with the electrical system. What is causing the starting problem now?
