Last week my husband changed both belts cuz the ac belt was sqealing. So decided to change both. Immediately afterwards I drive the car for 5 min. Turned it off checked the antifreeze rhen cranked it again and nothing. Radio would light up but nothinf else. Checked all cables and nothing worked. Took off battery cables and clened them and it would crank up then die. Now when I drive it it cranks ok but when I take my foot off the gasand push on the break it dies.

Check to see if by accident he knocked any of the engine vacuum hoses off. Also, check to make sure the idle air control valve (IAC) wiring hasn't been damaged or disconnected. The IAC is located on the throttle body. Finally, check to make sure nothing was disconnected on or around the air box.
