PONTIAC MONTANA ENGINE PROBLEM
2003 Pontiac Montana • 10,500 miles
Ok, hear is deal. Got an 03 pontiac montana in like new shape other then engine and transmission. They both are going to be replaced. Here is question. Most interchanges state that 03 is an only 03 year for both engine and trans. I have found an 02 pontiac montana with same motor and tranny. I am looking for what needs to me swapped from the 03 onto the 02 engine and trans to make them work correctly. Do I only use the long block of the 02 and swap intake and all sensors? As for the tranny. I believe I need to swap that internal range switch. Is there anything else? Please let me know so I know weather to get the 02 parts van or pay twice as much for just an 03 engine and tranny.
