2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Repair Question

Pontiac Grand Prix Gas Problem
My car makes a whirling sound when I accelerate. When I take my foot off the gas pedal it is quiet as a mouse. I had an oil change on 2/8 and have driven 72 miles since then.

Is there any noise when you make turns? Have you checked the tires to make sure they are worn evenly?
