My Aztech is overheating. The hose going to the thermostat or engine is hard when hot and soft when cooled down. Do I need to replace the thermostat or could there be air in the line?

Could be both. Try bleeding the system of air. A thermostat is cheap. If you don't feel like spending money you can pull it out and drop it in some boiling water on the stove and see if it opens up. If it does, you may have a blown headgasket which will push coolant into the over flow.
