Oldsmobile Alero Choke Problem

My car periodically dies when coming to a stop-it stsrts right back up-it idles down them stops-new engine has about 70,000 -what can I check for

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first. clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner
