Nissan Altima Battery Problem

I replaced the battery on Friday and the car worked fine. Now monday and the car does not start. After jumping the car it started and ran fine, but would not turn back on by itself. The battery terminal is rusted and does not fit tightly around the post. Can you help me as to why the car will not start?

The first thing you need to do is replace the bad battery cable and then have the charging system tested and if all that checks out good, test it for a parasitic draw on the battery,
