My engine temperature gauge stopped working--it won't show any temperature at all & the check engine light comes on periodically. Where should I start to repair this?

I would have the codes checked for free at AutoZone to see what it is. Also O’Reilly’s does this. Next check the wire connection at the temp sensor for a good connection, damaged wire etc. If good it may be the temp sensor is bad.

You can try and use an ohm meter anc check for resistance if you prefer. I have attached the information.
