We had the transmission rebuilt about a month ago. At the same time we had the lower intake manafold replaced because it was cracked. The transmission was fine untill about a week ago it started not wanting to shift around 25 mph, the rpms would go way up and sometimes you would have to shift manually.( The van is automatic) We took it back up to the shop they said it was the mass air flow sensor the unhooked it and it just shifted hard did not mess with the rpms so we replaced the maf sensor, but now its still shifting hard and there is a idle temp sensor code. Any ideas on what could be going on? Other then the transmission problems since we replaced the intake manafold the van runs fine does not misfired or idle bad.

The trans is the issue here, not the motor. Take it back again and tell them to fix it correctly. I bet it is in the valve body that is making it shift the way it is.
