2003 Ford Explorer Repair Question
What is wrong with my dashboard?
Answer
could be the cluster or the gem module. just guessing here as very little info to go on. get a shop to confirm this as they can monitor systems with a scan tool and verify the failure.

Okay. Tthank you Roy. If you ask the questions I will be able to give more detail. I'm reaLly no mechanic and not knowledgeable on what you would call details, unless you ask a direct question. That way I can provide you with the best answer so you can help me.
did you check all the fuses for power with a test light to verify power??
is the check engine light working and is it on now??
what other accessories are not functing and did they all fail together??
Roy
Check engine light: on (has been for a while. Vehicle got serviced but I guess they never reset it (Bahamas)
TEST LIGHT: yes. Everything checked out (fuses in the hood and under dashboard)
ACCESSORIES: reverse lights (not working)
Dashboard instruumentation (not working)
Radio/CD player (aftermarket - not working)
Cruise Control (not working) - inopperable since 2011
TIMING: Radio went about 7:00pm on a monday evening and about 8:30am the following morning everything else was malfunctioning
Oh yeah, nearly forgot. The alarm would sound from time to time for no appparent reason, however after the dashboard failure this is inoperable.
sounds like either a bad gem module or you have 2 or 3 failures un related.
did you have a shop check it yet??
what is the code for the light
