What is wrong with my dashboard?

One day I pulled up home and my radio stopped working. Thought nothing of it at the time. I checked the fuses in the hood and under the dashboard but found everything was good. The following day my gauges would not work. (Temperature, oil, battery, fuel, rpm) They are all in the position that they would be if my vehicle was off. I have also lost control of the automatic windows and my reverse lights. I have heard someone mentioning relays, and something about a dashboard cluster. What is wrong? What do I need to replace and the approximate cost? I love the vehicle, but safety concerns me at this particular point.

Could be the cluster or the gem module. Just guessing here as very little info to go on. Get a shop to confirm this as they can monitor systems with a scan tool and verify the failure.

Okay. Tthank you Roy. If you ask the questions I will be able to give more detail. I'm reaLly no mechanic and not knowledgeable on what you would call details, unless you ask a direct question. That way I can provide you with the best answer so you can help me.

Did you check all the fuses for power with a test light to verify power?

Is the check engine light working and is it on now?

What other accessories are not functing and did they all fail together?

Oh yeah, nearly forgot. The alarm would sound from time to time for no appparent reason, however after the dashboard failure this is inoperable.

Sounds like either a bad gem module or you have 2 or 3 failures un related.

Did you have a shop check it yet?

What is the code for the light
