2003 Ford Explorer Transmission code PO774

The car will drive but not shifting ok and the po775 code pulled up what needs to be done? Can we fix it ourselves or does it have to be taken to a dealer or is it better to rebuild whole transmission

I would bring to a transmission shop. These vehicles are plaqued with transmission issues. As far as rebuilding the tranny, it may be cheaper to replace with a known good used transmission.
