FORD ESCORT GAS PROBLEM
2003 Ford Escort • 120,000 miles
Well my problem is my vehicle isn't going faster than 25mph when floored. Let me start you off with telling you I'm from Alaska and it isn't winterized, I just didn't use it at all during the winter months. Last time when I used it, the speed kept declining as I was driving home (250 miles north of Fairbanks) and I was very low on gas. I think possibly there may be ice in the gasline? Either way, I put some Iso-Heat in then filled her up. I started it up today for the first time since November (because it was over 20*F out), and took it on the road and still wouldn't go above 25 mph. The transmission doesn't feel wicked healthy but I'm hoping it could be something else. Any suggestions?
