starter won't turn

how do I replace a 2003 ford escape starter

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove the air cleaner outlet tube and the air cleaner assembly.
Drain the engine cooling system.
Disconnect the three hoses and position the thermostat aside.
Remove the nuts and position the starter solenoid cables aside.
Remove the two bolts and the starter motor.
