Ford Escape Steering Problem

My key will not turn in the ignition of my 2003 Ford Escape (I think this is the ignition switch or ignition lock cylinder). I have a warranty that covers the following: Steering-steering gear box or rack & all internal lubricated parts, power steering pump, steering column shaft, steering column shaft couplings, tie rod ends, dranglink, pitman arm and idler arm. Electrical-ignition module, ignition coil.
Would this problem be covered under my warranty? I called my warranty company, but the lady said 'I'm not a mechanic so I don't know'.

no, it is not. you need a lock cylinder and it needs to be coded.
