The overdrive light in my van is flashing and the tranny is a little rough

It indicates a problem with trans, have codes read at most autoparts stores for free.

I'm not sure you'll find an auto parts store capable of reading a trans control module. This usually requires a professional scan tool. I suggest a trans shop to get an idea where you stand.
