In the tank baffles plates are used to prevent the fuel from sloshing and sometimes these plates can detach causing the problem.

Too much sloshing would create a higher pressure than normal and might cause problem to the EVAP system.

You can't repair a fuel tank. It has to be replaced to solve the problem. Any repair shop should be able to do the job. As to the cost, I am not able to provide any costing as they vary region to region and you have to enquire locally to get the correct pricing.
