2003 Dodge Intrepid ignition tumbler replacement

I changed the ignition tumbler and when I was finished with the replacement of the tumbler the
Car started twice and cults right back off and now wount turn over or start how do I get it re codedi need to know if you can tell me how to fix it or do Ihave to take it to a ddealer

So did you replace the ignition cylinder?If so did you still use your old key from the car?Also what color was the original color of the key?

The old key is gray and the new one is black I tryed the old key and it dont work

The gray key has a chip in it so it wont start with the black one the black ones dont have chips. Does the grey one still turn the cylinder?Is the security light on solid or flashing?

You should have keyed the new cylinder to the old grey key then the car would then the car would start. Take the new cylinder to the lock smith and have him key the new cylinder to the old grey key.
