CHEVY OVER HEAD SWITCH WIRE PROBLEM

gotten to the finding out the yellow wire from the fuse to the switch is mostly broke some where I can not find out where the wire runs the fuse to the switch I thought it run up the pillar ride side of window but I do not see the wires when I pulled it off The wire reads 12v but as soon as you put a test lamp on it it drops to 0 so the wire is damaged somewhere between the fuse to the overhead switch.
I need to find out where the wire runs from the fuse to the switch. ANY ideas?
