2003 Chevrolet Tracker dies warm

Dies when it gets warm, hard start and backfires when trying to restart Runs fine and starts fine cool has 40 lbs. Fuel pressure and has spark no computer codes any suggestions/ we pumped out some of the gas, thinking water in it, but it looks fine also

It could be a number of things, and with there being no check engine light, it becomes a guessing game. When it dies, are you still getting spark and fuel to the engine?

Try a little test for me. See if the engine will start with starting fluid. If it starts for a couple seconds, then fuel is the issue. You may have proper fuel pressure at the rail, but the injectors may not be getting power.

Let me know what you find.
