Starter been dragging for couple days, now has that tinging sound when stepping on gas pedal. Shift to neutral and sound almost goes away. Got under truck with it parked and had some one bring the RPM s up, sound intensifies and is coming from bellhousing. Am I on the right track with my thinking. Have heard this sound before on a 78 chevy 4x4 ended up cracked flexplate.
