Hi I have a 4.3L v6 Chevy s10 with 95000 miles on it. I've been having this problem a while now, when I'm stopped and idling, and my engine is at operating temp or hotter, my rpms drop and my oil pressure drops, sometimes low enough to stall. Its fine while accelerating and coasting, and the engine cools off a bit as well when accelerating and coasting. A code for the cam position sensor is poping up, so I replaced the sensor and cleared the code and I still have the same problem. And the code comes up. The truck has a new distributer, new coolant temp sensor, new plugs and wires, just changed oil with Mobil 1 synthetic 5w30 and I seafoamed it. Idk where to turn next.

You'll have to check for a short in the wiring where it may be hitting ground or it may be a bad pcm but a pro should really check this with his scanner. He can run other testst that auto parts can't
